Recovery Coaching with James Brine

Maureen is thrilled to welcome James Brine to the Maureen Brine & Associates team! His addition is truly invaluable to our addiction and recovery services. James completed his recovery coach training with “Still – Here” Recovery Coaching in White Rock, B.C.

As a coach, James extends his hand to individuals grappling with addiction or those already on the path to recovery, guiding them in setting and achieving their goals. Drawing from his own journey of recovery, James provides more than just help; he also imparts hope and provides a clear path forward for his clients’ advancement. Read here for more info.

Relationships flourish when we bring genuine attention and intention to our everyday interactions. In this section, I’ll share simple yet powerful ways to be more present with your partner, foster trust, and nurture emotional safety.

Each newsletter will feature a new “mindful move”—a practice you can try right away. Whether it’s pausing for a few quiet moments together at the end of the day, noticing and appreciating your partner’s small gestures, or learning to listen without interrupting, these ideas are about making meaningful changes one step at a time.

You can expect tips on mindful communication, deepening intimacy, expressing gratitude, and staying grounded during conflict. Over time, these small, conscious actions can add up to lasting positive change in your relationship.

Even if you’re not in a romantic relationship right now, these mindful love moves are just as meaningful when shared with friends and family. Practicing presence, gratitude, and deep listening with those closest to you can strengthen your existing connections and enrich your daily life while you look forward to meeting that special person.
